Times: Gates – 6pm / Racing – 7:30pm
Points Leader: Brian Richardson leads both the Mesa Marin Late Model point standings and the NASCAR Sunbelt Regional point standings. This ranks Richardson among the top 10 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series drivers in the nation. Richardson has five wins in ten starts this season.
Double NASCAR Points: The Late Models will compete in “Twin Main Events” this Saturday night, which means two separate main events in one night offering NASCAR points for both main events.
Four Straight Wins: Dan Holtz is the current NASCAR Super Late Model point leader at Mesa Marin. Holtz, the 2001 Mesa Marin track champion is undefeated with three straight Super Late Model main event wins in 2003.
Triple-Duty: Rick Grissom is scheduled to drive in both Late Model main events and the Super Late Model main event.
Champ Returns: Defending NASCAR Late Model champion Gary Elmore is scheduled to return to competition this Saturday night after missing the last five races.
On the Schedule: The ChevronTexaco High School Racing Series and Auto Club 911 Race for Youth Series will also be in action this Saturday at Mesa Marin.
Record Pace: The numbers are in – following the June 28th Firecracker 150, Mesa Marin is on track to set a new single season attendance record.
