Adair MotorSports announced today that effective immediately Team Owner, Christina Adair, will add a new area of responsibility to her plate. She will be the team’s Crew Chief. Tim McMillin has left the team to pursue other racing interests. "I look forward to the balance of the season and as a team we still look forward to continuing our quest for the NASCAR Winston West drivers championship as well as the top spot for owners." said Tina.
"Tim has been a great help with the team’s successes this year and we want to thank him for all of his efforts as well as wish him well with his other racing related ventures. Please feel free to contact me for references about Tim’s work with Adair MotorSports." added Tina.
"The timing of this announcement isn’t related to the 10th place finish at Irwindale on July 26th. The chassis was great. Just two laps into the race the Royal Bath & Body Products #3 Pontiac had a pushrod problem in the number one cylinder. The motor really did a great job considering that it was running on only 7 cylinders. After a quick pit stop to check plug wires and electrical the car came around on me between turns 3 and 4. Overall I’m real happy that we were able to move up from almost dead last to 10th with the motor making only partial power." related driver Mark Reed.
The Adair MotorSports, Royal Bath & Body Products #3 Pontiac Grand Prix remains in first place in owners points and the team has the best overall average finish (5.6) in NASCAR Winston West racing in the 2003 season.![]()
