CARSON WOODS JR COMPETING IN HOME DEPOT 100 NASCAR FSWS EVENT

Carson Woods Jr. drives the No. 39 Featherlite Southwest Series car in the NASCAR Touring division. Woods finished on the lead lap in the last race the touring series visited at Mesa Marin in Bakersfield. Woods will now compete in the Home Depot 100 at the Irwindale Speeday in Los Angles. Like Mesa Marin, it is a 1/2-mile paved oval, like Mesa it is a fast track and like Mesa, Woods would like nothing better than to finish on the lead lap.

RacingWest: What went right or wrong at the last race and why?
Carson Woods Jr.: We had a good night, we finished on the lead lap and the car is in one piece.

RW: How are you expecting to do at this race? b>
CW: We would be thrilled with a top ten finish.

RW: What does it take to get the pole at this track?
CW: To be smooth and fast!

RW: Do you think this track depends more on equipment or more on driver skill?
CW: Both skill and car are very important.

RW: What tire will you be using? Why?
CW: I liked the Hoosier, it ran very well at Mesa, and the Goodyear ran very well at Phoenix so I guess time will tell.

RW: What is your team able to offer a sponsor?
CW: To proudly put their name on our race car, race car hauler and to tell everyone how great of a company they are and or the products they sell. We would also have them at everyone of our races, as we are a very close family and would want them to share in that same experience. On our off weekends we could do just about anything the sponsor would like us to do, we would proudly show the car, do autograph sessions what ever the company would like us to do.

RW: When you were young what did you want to be when you grew up?
CW: An Architect.

RW: What did you actually become?
CW: Automotive Technician.

RW: What car would you buy if money were no concern?
CW: A convertible Hummer.

RW: What one charitable cause do you support or would you support if given the opportunity?
CW: I give to my church I attend and if more money were available I would donate to 1-800-MARROW.

RW: If you win this race how will you celebrate?
CW: It would be a Thanksgiving Celebration...I would first thank my entire team, sponsors, and my mom and dad for having supported me.####
