GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The NASCAR Elite Division Kodak Southeast Series, for the third time in 2003, was sent packing when heavy thunderstorms in the Piedmont area swept across Greenville-Pickens Speedway, one hour before qualifying, causing the Flexcheck Cash Advance 150 to be postponed.

The event has been rescheduled for September 20 which could make the event a championship showdown.

Never in the history of the series has Greenville-Pickens Speedway, the second oldest NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series facility, been the site of a series championship event.

"We just want to get this season over with," said series points leader Charlie Bradberry. "These rainouts are getting nerve racking and costing teams a lot of money. The sooner the season is finished the sooner we can concentrate on getting our car ready for the Toyota All-Star Showdown at Irwindale (CA) Speedway in November."

Bradberry continues to hold an 80-point lead over Terry Mason Jr. and an 82-point lead over defending Kodak Southeast Series Champion Jeff Fultz.

The Kodak Southeast Series returns to Myrtle Beach Speedway, August 16, for the Time Warner 150 which has been postponed twice due to inclement weather.####
