#16 NAPA AUTO PARTS TEAM READY TO GO SHORT TRACK RACING

ROCKLIN, California -- Austin Cameron, driver of the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet and the Bill McAnally Racing team will continue their quest for another win in the NASCAR Grand National Division Winston West Series as they make the short, 60 minute trip from the race shop to Stockton, California for the NAPA AUTO PARTS 200. This weekend's event is the second race in the series held at the speedway since 1984 and the second race for Austin Cameron back in the seat of the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet since being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma this past April.

"I'm feeling really good," said Cameron. "I've been looking forward to coming back to Stockton. I'm really excited about this race. It's short track racing at its best. The team and I recently tested at the track and the car was fast. My crew chief, Doug George and the team have been working hard and I think all their efforts will show on Saturday. We're taking the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS car straight to the front and keep her there right on to the checkered flag and give our sponsor NAPA AUTO PARTS another win in the NASCAR Winston West Series." "More than 400 NAPA AUTO PARTS customers and employees came out to the race last year," said team owner, Bill McAnally. "This year looks to be no different. I want to thank them for all their continuing support."

"It's great to race so close to home," continues McAnally. "Our families and friends come out to cheer us on and it means a lot to us to have them with us. It's great to have Austin back in the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS car. Team moral has never been higher. With all these factors in place, we're back on track to be in contention for the shootout at the end of the season and have the NAPA team back up front."

The Stockton 99 Speedway was once described as the `Bristol of the West'. It is a ¼ mile track that has a reputation for being a tough track. The #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS team is ready for the challenge. The race will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2003. The NASCAR Winston West teams will qualify at 4:30 with the race scheduled to begin at 8 pm. The race will air on SPEED Channel on August 30th.
