Sunday, August 24:
Beautiful day at Pacific Raceways. The track itself is a tight course, but the drivers had a very smooth practice run this morning. Michael Waltrip spun in turn 3B, he was going fast downhill and needed to check up, no contact. The 08 had to replace a bumper, but for the most part everyone is happy and ready to qualify. Gary Lewis is extremely pleased with his car and turned a good time this morning.

Formula 1 style qualifying will begin at 12 noon PDT.

NASCAR Winston Cup driver, Michael Waltrip was fastest in 3rd round practice.

Saturday, August 23:
1st Practice:
--Jim Inglebright is practicing car for Michael Waltrip.
--58 of Jerry Fink crashed but looks like he will be able to fix it and get it back out.
--Jeff Jefferson currently has the best time.
--12: 45pm -- 40 of Rick Suran spun out but is now back on track
--12:55pm -- 69 lost it in turn 5a and ended up in the gravel
--1:12 -- 65 car of Stan Silva spun.
--Todd Souza fastest in first practice
--Results First Practice

2nd Practice
--3:10-- Brandon Riehl spun or broke in 2nd practice.
--3:16 -- John Bender spun into the tires.
--3:28 -- Ed Watson crashed.
--3:30 -- For the most part everyone is racing hard and staying on track. As with the Winston Cup, there are limited chances for these guys to practice roadcourses, so a little offroading is normal. Teams are having a blast.
--3:52 -- Joe Benedetti has stopped on track.
--Troy Ermish was fastest in 2nd round practice.
--A number of big name drivers such as Kevin Hamlin, Michael Waltrip's prep driver Jim Inglebrght, Gary Lewis and a few others did not go out for the 2nd practice round.
