Saturday night, August 23rd, the Top Notch Trailers Street Stocks, Yelm National Auto Parts Bumblebees, Hinkle Homes Pure Stocks and Sportsman all raced the 3/8ths mile oval, tightening up their point races.

JJ Hamilton clocked in with fastest time for the Top Notch Trailers Street Stocks but it was Steve Ford who won the dash. Mike Brooks led 7 of the eight laps of the B heat for the win. Mike Saylors was second and Andy Rausch was third. Ron Ehli led the first five laps of the A heat race before Dan Woodward and JJ Hamilton got around him to finish first and second. Jim Swanson, in a rare Street Stock appearance, took the lead on the very first lap of the main event. Dennis Anderson spun in turn four after a full lap was complete. He did not go off and the race continued. Eric Lee, who was doing double duty in the Pure Stocks and Street Stocks exited on lap six with a mechanical problem. Charles Meadors did the same on lap eight. Swanson was still leading with Dan Woodward in second and JJ Hamilton in third. Josh Bradley went off with a motor problem on lap 15 and Mike Brooks did the same on lap 18. Hamilton got by Woodward for second on lap 23 and in lapped traffic on lap 27 he got by Swanson for the lead. Unfortunately for Hamilton, as he came out of turn three the next lap a lower ball joint broke and he slid into nearly into the wall with sparks flying. He was fine but the car could not continue the race. Swanson took back over the lead and there were eight laps for Woodward to try and get around him. On lap 29 the final caution shown for Bill Posh and David Patrick getting together. Patrick left the track but Posh stayed on. It was a race to the finish that Jim Swanson won. In second was Dan Woodward with Steve Ford, Ron Ehli and Bill Posh coming up to finish in the top five.

James Wyrick won the half-track trophy dash for the Yelm National Auto Parts Bumblebees. In the heat races a mini-track was set up in the middle of the track. Jennifer Lamoureux led the first two laps of the first heat before getting caught up in a spinning collision. Shannon Fitting took over the lead until the final lap when James Wyrick got passed her at the line to win. Ken Meyer finished third and Lamoureux was fourth. Jeff Swanson led the final seven laps of the second heat. Norm Upson finished second and Jim Swanson was third. John Hinkle started out leading the main event. Ken Meyer was second until Jim Swanson took over on lap four. Gary Lawrence was the first to get the black flag for running over a cone. John Hinkle, the leader, was the second to get the black flag. He was cutting the course short. Jim Swanson then took over the lead with Jeff Swanson in second and Ken Meyer in third. Norm Upson took over third on lap 10. Newcomer Craig Wright got the mechanical flag on lap seven for a flat tire. After all 15 laps it was Jim Swanson who took the win. This was the first of Swanson's two victories of the night. In second was Jeff Swanson and Norm Upson was third. Brian Wilson finished fourth with Ken Meyer, Mike Ebeling, Eva Hinkle, Jennifer Lamoureux, Shannon Fitting and another newcomer Josh Hoxit finishing in the top ten.

In the Hinkle Homes Pure Stocks Brandon Tompkins captured the fastest lap and Eric Lee won the trophy dash. Devon Hundley led all eight laps of the B heat to win with Chris Huisingh and Justin Floreck close behind. Charlie Manier led the first two laps of the A heat before falling back and Bobby Moore taking the lead. Moore won with Mike Saylors, Brandon Tompkins and Eric Lee behind him. David Tresenriter led the first three laps of the main event before Mike Saylors took over. Josh Zahn moved into second. The yellow came out on lap nine when Marshall Hallett and Jim Moen got together. Moen's radiator was completely busted and he was taken off the track. Brandon Tompkins left that same lap with a suspension problem. On lap ten Eric Lee got into David Tresenriter. Lee got the black and Tresenriter lost a lap but no caution was thrown. The next caution, on lap 11, was for Chris Huisingh spinning in turns three and four. The race was back to green and everything was going smoothly until lap 18 when Tresenriter blew the motor in his car. There were two laps left in the event. Josh Zahn had taken the lead on lap 11 and was holding onto it. He won the race, his third of the season, with Mike Saylors in second and Bobby Moore in third. Steve Gerdts finished fourth with Charlie Manier in fifth. Tim Gosch borrowed the Jake Petty car and finished sixth. Marshall Hallett, Justin Floreck, Mark Rorvik and Devon Hundley rounded out the top ten.

Mike Gummus was the fast qualifier for the Sportsman and Cale Streepy won the dash on his first time out. Brian Vaughn led the first two laps of the B heat before Jerry Clark took over to drive to victory with Vaughn in second. John Boyatt won the A heat with Ken Gummus in second. Ken Gummus led the first four laps of the main event before Brian Roth took over. Al Carver took second on lap six. There was a caution on lap three for newcomer Don Schott spinning. Brandon Taylor left that same lap with a fluid leak. The next caution was on lap 10 when Bernie Hindman spun. Lap 19 brought out the next caution when Jerry Clark spun. As racing got back to green, Brian Roth lost three positions falling to fourth. Taking over the lead with Al Carver. Carver brought Cale Streepy and Mike Gummus with him. Lap 29 brought out the next caution. This one was for Ken Gummus who spun in turn four. John Boyatt and Shane Dickerson had to leave on this lap. Boyatt's was for a mechanical problem and Dickerson's was from being hit when the cars were trying to realign. There were two more cautions trying to restart the race. The first was for Jerry Clark running into another car and the second for Brian Vaughn's hood flying off. When racing got back underway another caution was thrown on lap 33 when Jerry Clark spun Dale Holland. Clark was assessed a penalty and Holland stayed on the track. After 40 laps of mayhem, Al carver was the winner with Cale Streepy in second and Mike Gummus in third. Brian Roth was fourth with Pat Schwartzkopf, Brian Vaughn, Ken Gummus and Tom Smithan in the top eight.
