LEWIS LOOKS TO SWEEP MAGIC VALLEY

BOTHELL, Washington -- The 13th stop for the Raybestos Brakes NW Series, NASCAR Elite Division will be a good one for Gary Lewis Racing. Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho has been a great stop for this series the past couple of years. Last year the race was televised on Speed TV and proved to be an exciting race. This year Lewis attained his 25th NW Series win on the first stop at this ¼ mile track.

“I can’t wait to come down to Magic Valley and race. I love the fans, the track and the town. I have some special fans from Twin Falls so we need to make sure the Hooters Pontiac takes home the trophy.”

In 2002 Lewis was running for 2nd place and was pushed off the track in close competition with coworker and friend Kevin Hamlin. At the first stop at this fast oval, Lewis dominated his competition and edged out Eddy McKean, the 2002 Featherlite SW Series Champion for the win. Gary looks to solidify his 4th place standing in the series, and gain some ground on 3rd with his second win of the season.

“Nothing is set in stone on the points except maybe Chris Hart and his team winning the championship. They have worked very hard for many years and I’m very happy for them. We will do what we can for 3rd or maybe 2nd.”

With the end of the season coming up fast, Lewis is looking forward to competing against what the nation has to offer. November 6-8th at the Toyota All-Star Showdown, will be a proving ground for the top 40 drivers in the Elite Division. You will be able to see who will be the next to move up in the ranks. The SW Series has 3 races in the month of October, for any of the NW Series to compete against their best. The Lewis camp is considering these races as a warm up opportunity for the big event in November.

“When ever you can go and race against the best in your field I’m always up for the challenge. I believe the top drivers in the NW will outshine the competition. Whatever happens it will be a great experience that Toyota has given us. Look for the Hooters Pontiac #73 to run up front.”

Look for Gary Lewis Racing to be in winners circle at Magic Valley Speedway. The #73 Hooters, Sign Factory, Nutter Racing Engine Pontiac will always be in contention for the win. Lewis Racing would like to thank all of his sponsors for such great support throughout the 2003 season and look forward to seeing you at the next race.
