CARSON CITY, Nevada -- This Saturday night, its time to put it all on the line at the Champion Motor Speedway. No more excuses no more second chances.
Thats because its Championship Nite at the historic high banks. The Saturday night short track stars are ready to fight it out all to the finish line.
The tempers will flare and the fenders will fly. But by the end of the night, four more 40th anniversary championship crowns will be awarded.
Coors Light presents the Lotus Radio Championship Finale featuring the Charter Super LateModels, Legends, Les Schwab Street Stocks and the ultra-crazed Queen Beez.
The Charter Super LateModels represent the evenings best points battle, as Chet Da Jet Danburg holds a scant 9 point advantage over 02 champ, Rapid Rich Lawlor.
In the Les Schwab Street Stock division, only 11 points separate the front running Kris Keller, from the hard charging Rick Miller.
Meanwhile, in the Legend division Nick Parmelee enjoys a 39 point cushion over Wayne Estes, with 02 champ Jim Klopp chomping at the bit in third place.
In the always ultra-crazed Queen Beez, Joy Coleman holds a commanding lead over Whitney Heller and Kim Miller.
Once the dust finally settles on the 03 season, Long's Jewelers will present Championship Diamond Rings worth $1500.00 to the Charter Super LateModel, Western Modified, Legend, Limited LateModel, Les Schwab Street Stock, Hustlin Hornet, Queen Beez, and Blazin Bandolero champions. A special racecar display (plus) meet & greet in Earnhardt Memorial Park will feature last weeks championship winners, represented by Shane Kline (Western Modifieds), Al Goss (Limited LateModels), Rebecca Parmelee (Hustlin Hornets), and Bobby Hodges (Blazin Bandoleros).
The Mountain 94.5 will also be on hand from 5-7pm with a live radio remote and lots of great giveaways for the fans.
Fun Jumpers' Earnhardt Memorial Park will feature the bounce house pavilion (plus) a very special season finale for the Ponderosa Stamp & Engraving bicycle racers. The peddle pumpers will race for the final time in 2003 at 6:30pm.
All five Thunder Theater locations will showcase the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series LIVE from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The pits open @ 3pm, front gates open @ 5pm, and the show starts @ 7PM.
Adults are only $9.00, Seniors (55 and over) and Military (with photo ID) are only $7.00, Teens (18 to 13) are $5.00, Juniors (12 to 6) are $3.00 and Kids (5 & under) are free. Event parking is also free.
