RAUDMAN ROUNDS UP POLE AT PIR

PHOENIX, AZ. (October 4, 2003) Craig Raudman of Bakersfield, Calif. scored his fourth Bud Pole Award of the 2003 season Saturday afternoon at Phoenix Int'l Raceway in NASCAR Elite Division, Featherlite Southwest Series competition. Raudman toured the one-mile oval in 28.178 seconds/127.759 mph to lead 35 qualifiers. Burney Lamar, Greg Fowler, Dan Holtz, and David Gilliland rounded out the top five qualifiers.

Featherlite Southwest Series point leader Auggie Vidovich Jr. from Lakeside, Calif. will start 17th. Kevin Clark and local star Darrell LaMoure will start at the rear of the 35-car field as neither driver was able to turn a lap due to mechanical problems.

The Phoenixraceway.com "100" is set to take the green flag at 12 noon tomorrow as part of the NASCAR Doubleheader weekend at the Desert Jewell of Phoenix Int'l Raceway.
