MORENO VALLEY, California -- Lakeside Contractors Racing of Moreno Valley California has announced the Winston West debut of Rookie Driver Tony Gomez. Gomez will be piloting the #36 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Winston West Car with veteran Crew Chief Chris Deiderich on the box for the Mesa Marin October Classic this weekend.
MARJON R.V.'s of Moreno Valley has come aboard as Title Sponsor for the event and is presenting one of their premier brands of recreational vehicles manufactured bylAK THOR California in Moreno Valley. THOR California is currently showcasing their quality, racer friendly products at the 51st annual California R.V. show in Pomona.
Tony Gomez has raced in two Featherlight Southwest Tour races at Mesa Marin in the 2003 season and is hoping to use that experience to start and finish the race in the front. "I have had limited success at Mesa Marin in the Tour, this is a great facility and I really believe that with the current partnership with THOR California and MARJON R.V.'s as a driving force along with the direction of Chris Deiderich, our team, Lakeside Racing will have a strong finish".
