DAYTONA BEACH, Flordia -- NASCAR has announced plans to hold the NASCAR Grand National Division, Winston West Series awards ceremony at the Eldorado Hotel in Reno, Nev., on Friday, Dec. 12. The event, which had been slated for Nov. 2 in Glendale, Calif., was postponed because of the devastating wildfires in that region.
The ceremony, which will commemorate the 50th season of the West's oldest
stock car racing circuit, will honor 2003 series champion Scott Lynch, along
with the top 10 drivers and the top three car owners from the 2003 season.
Other awards presented during the ceremony include the prestigious Raybestos
Brakes Rookie of the Year Award and the Most Popular Driver Award.
