
Series veteran Scott Gaylord of Lakewood, Colo., driver of the Oliver Gravity Separators/Denver Seminary #00 Chevrolet Monte Carlo recieved the 5th place trophy for the year-end NASCAR Winston West Series point championship. Gaylord was awarded over $100,000 in prize money for the season.
This is the teams 9th top 10 finish in the NWWS point championship. Gaylord also won the POWERade award along with an additional $5,870 for doing so. He won the POWERade Power Move of the Race $1,000 Award at four events during the 2003 season. THe POWERade is awarded the driver who advances the most positions in a race.
Gaylord thanked Oliver Gravity Separators for being the longest team sponsor in the NWWS now in its 15th year of sponsorship and Denver Seminary for their support the last two years. He also praised DC Racing Engines for their awesome power and Annie at Sign Edge Race Car Graphics for all of her support and good work.
Gaylord also thanked his crewchief Fred Roempler, his volunteer crew and his wife Donna for her role as the teams manager/spotter. Finally Scott thanked Winston (RJR Tobacco Company) for thier long and much appreciated support of the seires for so many years.![]()
