OPPORTUNITY ARISES FOR BURNS IN SOUTHWEST TOUR

Todd Burns and his team have a lot to celebrate this holiday season. After achieving the ultimate goal in the 2003 weekly racing series by capturing their second consecutive Auto Club Late Model Championship and the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series ShorTrack National Championship, Burns and Company has teamed up with Rich and Kathie Fountain to drive the #11 Centrifugal Technologies Monte Carlo this season. The team will be making their AutoZone Southwest Tour debut at Phoenix International Raceway on January 25th. “It's a dream come true for myself and my team. I can't thank Rich and Kathie enough for giving me this opportunity and to my friend David Gilliland for putting in a good word for me and I wish him the best in his new endeavor. I'm looking forward to the tough competition that the tour brings.” The Burns Motorsports team is no stranger to victory lane as they have posted 36 main event victories at the ˝ mile Irwindale Speedway since the track's inception, ten in 2003, but they realize what a step up this will be for them. “There's no doubt what a huge step this is for us compared to the weekly racing series, but I feel we have what it takes to be successful,” Burns went on to say.

“I'm excited about the opportunity to work with Burns Motorsports,” stated car owner Rich Fountain. “We know that Todd is a good young talent and we believe he can pick up right where David Gilliland left off. We will miss David, but am excited for the opportunity for David to move on to better his career.”

“We're all pretty excited for the upcoming season. I'm confident in Todd's talent as well as the team's ability to be competitive in this division,” stated James Valk, Burns’ crew chief.

“In addition to Centrifugal Technologies as the primary sponsor, we're currently looking to secure more sponsorship and we're in talks with a few perspective sponsors at this time,” stated Burns.
