DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – In conjunction with the season-opening Winter Heat 100 at Phoenix International Raceway, several NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series drivers are scheduled to make special appearances at AutoZone stores in the Phoenix area on Friday, January 23. Drivers will be on hand to meet race fans and store customers, sign autographs and display their race cars.
The tentative schedule of store appearances is as follows:
At the AutoZone store on 1705 E. Main St. in Mesa, Ariz., Randy Nelson, driver of the No. 68 BCI Motorsports Ford is scheduled to appear from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and Chris Hines, driver of the No. 96 Plateau Motorsports Chevrolet is scheduled to appear from 12-3 p.m.
At the AutoZone store at 8669 NW Grand Avenue in Peoria, Ariz., 2003 Southwest Series champion Auggie Vidovich, driver of the No. 59 PG Series/No Fear Chevrolet, is scheduled to appear from 12-3 p.m. Danny Burson, driver of the No. 56 Great Western Electric Chevrolet, is also scheduled to appear with Vidovich from 12-3 p.m.
At 12230 N. Cave Creek in Phoenix, Jim Pettit II, driver of the No. 03 Pettit Racing Ford, is scheduled to appear from 12-3 p.m. Jeff Jefferson, driver of the No. 42 Morgan Transport Chevrolet, is also scheduled to appear at the store from 12-3 p.m. Jefferson, of Naches, Wash., is the defending champion of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Northwest Series.
