BAKERSFIELD, California -- The official announcement was made today that StarNursery.com will be the title sponsor of Mesa Marin Raceways March 28th NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Series event. The StarNursery.com 150 will be part of Mesa Marins Opening Weekend of 2004 which will also feature the NASCAR Grand National West Series, the NASCAR Late Models, Speed Trucks and the annual Downtown Bakersfield Motorsports Festival.
We cant thank Craig Keough and his employees at Star Nursery enough for being part of what will be our biggest race weekend of the year, stated Mesa Marin VP, Larry Collins.

Star Nursery began operations in Nevada in August 1983, and operates retail/commercial nursery outlets in the Las Vegas Valley and Southern Utah. In February 2001, Star Nursery ventured into the national marketplace with the opening of a new on-line sales store, www.starnursery.com. It offers a complete line of dry goods including irrigation supplies, fertilizers, pest and disease control items, general gardening and landscaping items, a full line of water gardening products, and much more.
This will be a marquee event for the Southwest Series in 2004, and we feel its a great way to market our on-line sales store, stated Star Nurserys Craig Keough.
The StarNursery.com 150 will be part of a three day racing festival at Mesa Marin.
Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm the streets of downtown Bakersfield will be closed off for the Downtown Street Festival where race fans can meet the drivers and see all the rigs and race vehicles up close on display.
Saturday night the racing action will feature the NASCAR Grand National West Series Lucas Oil 150 and the NASCAR Late Models.
On Sunday at noon, the day of racing starts off with the Speed Truck Challenge followed by the 2pm start of the NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Series StarNursery.com 150.
