KING TACO TO SPONSOR NASCAR WEST SERIES EVENT AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY

FONTANA, California -- King Taco will become the title sponsor for the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series race at California Speedway on May 1st.

The announcement was made today by California Speedway President Bill Miller and King Taco Restaurants, Inc. Vice-President Luis Martinez. The King Taco 200 marks the ninth trip the NASCAR Touring Series has made to the two-mile, D-shaped oval.

"King Taco has been a loyal partner with the speedway for several years now," Miller said. "Based in Los Angeles, King Taco is a leader in local motorsports sponsorship, providing not only great food products at the track but assistance in the staging of first-class events."

Today's agreement with the speedway continues a four-year relationship between the restaurant and California Speedway. Since 2000, King Taco has been the official Mexican restaurant of the speedway, which has included King Taco's permanent location in the infield between turns 3 and 4. King Taco has been involved in and a proud supporter of motorsports for more than 10 years.

Founded in 1974 by the Martinez family, King Taco began its operations from a converted ice cream truck. The Mexican restaurant has since expanded to more than 19 locations throughout Los Angeles County. King Taco has been repeatedly placed within the top 100 of Hispanic Business Magazine's "Top 500 Hispanic Businesses."

The King Taco 200 joins the Auto Club 500 Nextel Cup Series race and the 300-mile Busch Series race during the NASCAR weekend April 30-May 2, 2004. Qualifying for the Busch Series and Nextel Cup Series, as well as West Series practice takes place on Friday. The King Taco 200, Busch Series 300, Cup practice and the Miller Lite Rock n' Roll Musical performance followed by fireworks takes place on Saturday. The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Auto Club 500 culminates the weekend festivities on Sunday.
