NWSST KICKS OFF THIRD YEAR WITH EXCITING SCHEDULE

The "Northwest Street Stock Tour" will be competing in 10 races at six different tracks in Oregon and Washington during the 2004 season. This year the Tour will be keeping the playing field level by racing on asphalt for six races and clay 4 times.

This is the third season for the NWSST but this year's schedule includes some definite firsts which include: opening for the Late Model Challenge Series, first races on 1/2-mile tracks at Tri-Cities and Yakima as well as first time racing at Cottage Grove and Race City USA.

May 1st the "Season Opener" will be 50 laps on the newly surfaced 1/4-mile clay oval of Madras Speedway in Madras, Oregon.

May 22nd will be the NWSST / DCS Street Stock, "Civil War Challenge" at Roseburg Oregon's Douglas County Speedway 4/10 asphalt track. (Details TBA)

June 5th Tri-City Raceway's asphalt tri-oval in Richland, Washington will be the setting for the NWSST's first race on a 1/2-mile track. This will be a 35 Lap Main Event opening for the Late Model Challenge Series.

June 19th is the Tour's first visit to Hermiston, Oregon and Race City USA with a 75 Lap Main Event on their1/4-mile asphalt track.

July 4th is another first for the Tour with a 30 Lap Main Event on the 3/10-clay track at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

July 10th brings the Tour to Yakima Speedway, opening for the Late Model Challenge Series with a 40 Lap Main on the 1/2-mile asphalt in Yakima Washington.

July 24th the Tour is back at Race City USA in Hermiston Oregon for another 75 Lap Main Event on their asphalt 1/4 mile.

August 14th is the second race at Madras Speedway for 50 Laps on the 1/4-mile clay.

August 28th Race City USA in Hermiston Oregon hosts the Tour for a 75 Lap Main on the 1/4-mile asphalt.

September 18th the 50 Lap "Championship Final" will be held at Madras Speedway on their 1/4-mile clay track in Madras Oregon.

This10 race series for 2004 includes more travel than the 2003 schedule and will be very competitive with the different mix of tracks and surfaces.
