MONROE, WashingtonNegotiations during the off-season has netted Evergreen Speedway one of the Northwest's premier race announcers. Thirty year veteran Scott Ellsworth will be returning to their announcer's booth after a seven year absence from the Saturday Night program. "He will join legendary announcer Gary Cressey giving us a very talented, entertaining and knowledgeable team," said Entertainment Director Terry Buell.
"I am very excited about returning to Evergreen and working with the Beadles and Gary Cressey," said Ellsworth. Along with his announcing responsibilities, Scott has agreed to be the track Media Director. "I have been associated with the media for over thirty years in many capacities including statistician for Kevin Callabro, voice of the Seattle Supersonics".
Many fans will remember him from other Northwest Tracks including Portland Speedway, Yakima Speedway, Kalispell Raceway Park, Wenatchee Valley Super Oval and most recently Tri Cities Raceway. Scott and his wife Elly are also associated with the Friday night racing program at Evergreen Speedway.
Ellsworth stated, "This is the 50th Anniversary season at Evergreen Speedway
and the Beadle family has another action-packed season for the fans. With 77
events in the 29 week season it will be a busy summer. I am anxious to see
the return of the NASCAR Auto Zone Elite Division Northwest Series, NASCAR
Grand National West Series and the USAC Sprint Cars on the fast 5/8 mile
