PITTSBORO, North Carolina -- Premiere Motorsports has named Michelle Theriault of Atlanta, GA. to be the driver of the #8 Ford Taurus entry for the Hooters Pro Cup South Series in 2004. Michelle began racing in March of 1992 and has progressed through the racing ranks. She has competed in 14 states and 24 racetracks all over the United States in Quarter Midgets, Legends, Late models and the ultra fast Super late model race cars.
Michelle finished 6th in points for the NASCAR Dodge weekly Racing Series at
Lanier Speedway. Being that this is Michellešs first season in USAR she will
be running for the ŗRookie of the Year Title˛ in one of the largest line ups
of talented rookiešs that USAR has ever seen. Veteran Driver Kertus Davis
(#68 race car Premiere Motorsports) has been tasked with coaching Michelle
for her quest for R.O.Y Title. Michellešs debut race will be Saturday,
February 28, 7:30 PM at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL. Michelle
states that she is very happy and appreciative of the opportunity to run
with one of the best teams in USAR. "I will definitely take advantage of
this year and learn as much as I can from Kertus Davis, and Team owner Steve
Husketh."
