PETTIT II IS FAN FAVORITE AT MADERA

Jim Pettit II and the entire 03 Ford team could not be happier about the next race being at Madera Speedway in Madera, CA. Pettit, who was the track champion in 1996 and 2000 before running the Tour full time knows Madera Speedway as well as anyone on the tour. Because of his many years of success at Madera and his reputation of being a good clean driver, Pettit always has a big following and none bigger than at Madera Speedway, home of the fastest 1/3 mile in the west.

Jim touted the best average finish on the tour of races on tracks of 1/3 mile or shorter. With an average finish of 3.6, he is definitely one of the favorites to win this weekend. The stands will be full of fans hoping that will happen. Last year Pettit finished 2nd and fans are hoping he can do one better this year. The NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Tour races twice this year in Madera, and twice at the 99 Speedway in Stockton. These additions can only mean good things for Jim and the team. Pettit who recently became the team owner of the Jim Pettit Racing 03 Ford Taurus hopes his ownership debut will bring some magic to Madera on Saturday night.

Currently 3rd in the AutoZone Southwest Tour, Jim is 15 points out of 1st after the first race in Phoenix. The Prunedale native is now as close to leading the points as he ever has although everyone knows it is a long season. With history working as a guide the 03 team goes into Madera with all sights set on leaving the Central Valley a winner. As always, the entire Jim Pettit Racing 03 Ford team welcomes all fans to come and meet them after the race in the pit area.####
