Jim Pettit II will start Saturday nights Auto Zone 125 on the outside of row 4 with HotWood on the hood of the 03 Ford Taurus. The race in Madera, Ca is the second race of the season and Pettit currently sits in 3rd spot in the season points..
Pettit II ran a blistering 14.777 qualifying lap, but after a 10 car invert will start outside the 4th row. HotWood has signed on to a one-race deal with Pettit to see if they can recapture the type of success the two have enjoyed in the past. Pettit II won 4 track championships for sponsor HotWood from 1996-2000 before joining the Auto Zone Southwest Series.
