Drivers are coming from as far as Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles to compete for the 2004 Championship. Among those drivers is a strong rookie class. 14 drivers will be running for the Victory Circle Rookie of the Year Award. The 2004 SRL Wild West Late Model Shootout rookie of the year will receive a brand new Victory Circle Chassis. Not only will they receive a new chassis, but they will join fellow recipients of the award which include Tim Stratmeyer, Rick Ruzbarsky, and Ryan Foster.

The SRL Wild West Shootout will visit Mesa Marin on three different occasions during the 2004 season. The response from all of the competitors is overwhelming as they all are looking forward to competing on the fast high banks.
