BAKERSFIELD, California -- Today will be the final test day for NASCAR Southwest and NASCAR Grand National West teams before next weekend's 2004 $100,000 NASCAR Season Opener at Mesa Marin Raceway, March 27 and 28.
Defending NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southwest Series StarNursery.com 150 race winner Dan Holtz is scheduled to be at the test, along with 2003 Irwindale Speedway champions; Rip Michels and Todd Burns. 2003 Mesa Marin Late Model champion Brian Richardson will be testing his NASCAR Grand National West Series car, he will compete in both the NASCAR Grand National West Series and NASCAR Late Model events next weekend at Mesa Marin. Other drivers at Mesa Marin today, include; Craig Raudman, Todd Souza, Burney Lamar, Nick Lynch, Eric Holmes, Jason Small, Greg Voigt, M.K. Kanke, Ben Walker and more. Testing today will run from 8am to 4:00pm.
Saturday, Mesa Marin will host an open test day for Cal Spas SuperMoto Series riders from 7am to 10:30am, and NASCAR Late Models, Street Stocks and Trucks from 11:00am 6:00pm. NASCAR Grand National West Series and NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southwest Series teams will not participate in Saturdays test.
