BAKERSFIELD, California -- When racing action get underway at Round 3 of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series at Mesa Marin Raceway on Sunday, March 28, Nick Lynch and the entire Lynch Mob Motorsports crew will be ready to do battle.
"The first two rounds definitely didn't go our way," says Lynch, who is currently ranked fourth in the Rookie of the Year battle. "This time we fully intend to turn the tables in our direction and put our No. 29 Mr. Gas/Yerf-Dog Chevy where it should be - up in front."
In his first full year of Southwest Series competition, Lynch is extremely hungry for a win. Bakersfield would definitely be a great place to score a victory," he smiles. "This is where our team is headquartered and our entire crew would be jazzed. I like this track, It is fun, fast and you can run both high and low, which makes for passing. Our game plan is pretty much the same as usual, to qualify up front and then move up as soon as possible and stay there til the end. The key to doing well definitely requires a good handling car and we think we have the right package. The fans will really get an action-packed show from beginning to end."
With only two events down in this year's 14-race tour, Lynch and the Lynch Mob Motorsports crew have ample opportunity to move up. "The compassion is pretty stiff this year," says Lynch. "There are a lot of good drivers out there, but the Lynch Mob Motorsports crew really know their stuff and I don't think it will be long before we are right up in the thick of things each and every race. We have a great Mr. Gas/Yerf-Dog Chevy and an outstanding crew and we are ready to do battle.![]()
