Nick Behn won the ASA Late Model Super Stock main event, his first of the season. Behn is the defending champion for the class. Willy Thom started if the front row with Ben Brubaker next to him. Thom took the lead quickly with Tim Gosch running second and Behn in third. Behn took second from Gosch on lap 14. Ben Brubaker was running fourth with Phil Willis in fifth. Bob Presley moved into fifth on lap 25. While getting caught up in lapped traffic the top five was shuffled. Thom still ran first with Behn in second. Presley moved into third followed by Phil Willis and Jim Wilcox. The first caution came on lap 37 when Troy Eaton and Ben Brubaker spun. Eaton left the track during the caution and lost two laps, Brubaker stayed on. Devin Eierman also left the track during the caution. After the green was thrown Willy Thom spun, losing the lead but not losing a lap. Behn was now the leader with Bob Presley in second and Phil Willis in third. Lap 44 brought out another caution when Josh Peters and Ben Brubaker spun. Yet another caution was thrown on lap 52 when Kirk Hall spun. Lap 59 brought out the final caution for fluid on the track laid down by Tommy Rasmussen. It was a forty-lap shootout to the end that Behn won. Jim Wilcox finished second with Bob Presley in third. Tim Gosch finished in fourth followed by Willy Thom, Phil Willis, Mike Obrist and Ken Christie.
The track record was broken in the ASA North Star Yachts and Commercial Drivers Services Sportsman. Pappy Welch and Jerry Clark both timed in with a 14.794 second lap. Dave Cline won the dash over Clark and Welch. Bryan Bykerk won the heat race after leading all eight laps. Jim Moen was second with John Boyatt in third. Bryan Bykerk took the lead of the main event. Darryl Vickery was running second until he took the lead on lap eight. Vickery was running very well and had been all night. A caution was thrown on lap nine when Brandon Finch and Jim Moen got together. Mike Saylors left the track on this lap with a broken shock after a very good run. Dave Cline moved into second with Pappy Welch in third. On lap 13 Welch pulled into the infield with an electrical problem. Jerry Clark then moved into third. On lap 22 Bryan Bykerk left the track after a strong run. After 35 laps Dave Cline was the winner followed by Darryl Vickery and Al Carver. Jerry Clark finished fourth with John Boyatt in fifth.
Dan Woodward was the fastest qualifier for the ASA Top Notch Trailers Street Stocks. Ralph Hubbert won the dash in Leon Ames’ car. Jay Hopkins won the B heat race with his brother Paul Hopkins in second. Greg Kinney finished third. On the last lap of the heat Mike Brooks and Josh Bradley got together. Bobby Micielli won the A heat race after taking the win from Ron Ehli on the last lap. Ehli finished second with Dan Woodward in third. Josh Bradley and Paul Hopkins each led a lap of the main event before Dustin Wilkinson took over. Bobby Micielli moved into second with Dan Woodward in third. A caution came on lap five when Dave Lamb spun. The leaders were shuffled on lap 13 and Micielli took the lead followed by Wilkinson and Woodward. Dave Kirkman left on lap 12 and Paul Hopkins left on lap 13. Dan Woodward’s car suddenly lost pace with the leaders after breaking a clutch. Ron Ehli now moved into third behind Micielli and Wilkinson. Ron Ehli left the track on lap 29 when he had a fire under his car. After 35 laps Bobby Micielli finished first for the second race in a row. Dustin Wilkinson finished second with rookie Josh Bradley in third. Greg Kinney finished fourth with a great run. Jay Hopkins and Dave Lamb followed Kinney. Dan Woodward finished seventh.
Dan Larson Sr. won the dash while Steven Roberts qualified fastest for the MMRA Mini-Cup Open Division. Terryl Dykstra won the B heat race followed by Dave Vanderpol. Cody Stewart wont he A heat with JJ Hickle in second and Roberts in third. Brooke Lefor led the main event until lap six when JJ Hickle took over. On lap seven a caution was thrown when Lefor spun. Cody Stewart took the lead on lap eight. BJ Brown moved into second moving Hickle to third. Brown lost the spot to Hickle again on lap 16. Brown spun with two laps to go leaving him to finish eleventh. Cody Stewart won with Hickle in second and Brooke Lefor in third. Terryl Dykstra finished fourth and Dan Larson Jr. was fifth. In the MMRA Future Stars Steven Daskam dominated. Daskam qualified fastest, won the dash, heat and main event. Aaron Stanley finished second in the main event followed by Matt Benefield, Austin Thom, Mat Cone and Kayla Roberts.
