NICK LYNCH TAKES A TOP TEN FINISH

STOCKTON, California -- Breaking the string of bad luck that seemingly has plagued the Lynch Mob Motorsports team since the start of the season, Nick Lynch deftly piloted his No. 29 Mr. Gas/Yerf-Dog Chevy to his first top ten finish of the year at Round 5 of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series.

"It sure feels good to finish in the top 10," says Lynch with a smile. "We definitely struggled at the first four rounds, but things are definitely looking up. We gained some positions in the point's chase and are now sitting just 14 points out of the lead in the Rookie of the Year battle. With nine rounds left in this year's series, I think, with a little luck, we can work our way up to the front."

Qualifying in 12th, Lynch didn't waste any time in starting to move up through the pack. "We were going great guns," said Lynch. "I think we actually made it up to 6th. But then our Chevy got really tight and it was an incredible handful. I tried to hang on to my position, but a couple of guys managed to get past me and we had to settle for 9th. All in all we were pretty lucky and managed to stay out of trouble the entire race. There was a ton of banging and bumping and some wrecks, but we managed to dodge everything and finished clean."

One of the definite up and coming young NASCAR guns, Nick Lynch is definitely filled with both the determination and desire that is necessary to become a champion. With his behind-the-wheel talent, it should be easy for him to continue his march to the front of the pack.####
