LAMAR JUMPS THREE MORE SPOTS AFTER IRWINDALE WIN

BAKERSFIELD, California -- The number three should be NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southwest Series driver Burney Lamar's favorite number at the moment. Three weeks ago at the Stockton (CA) 99 (evenly divisible by three) Speedway, he finished third in the event and moved up to sixth (divisible by three) in the Series point standings. Three nights ago, he won his third career Series race at Irwindale (CA) Speedway, taking the lead with twelve (twelve is - right) laps to go and gained three more spots in the standings, up to third. He is now ninety-three (evenly divisible by three) points out of second. At Irwindale, he finished first. His HPS/Victory Circle Chassis teammate, Craig Raudman, finished second. (1 + 2 = 3) Burney's car number is 1. Craig's is two. (1 + . . . ) And after Saturday's sixth race of the season, he has three top-five finishes.

Prior to Saturdays race, Burney said, "It would be great to join M K Kanke as a multiple-time winner at Irwindale". He did, and became the third Southwest Series driver to do so.

Actually, Burney says his favorite number is thirty-three.####
