MONROE, Washington -- The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Super Stocks took to Evergreen Speedway’s Super 5/8-Mile Oval for the first time this season with a large 19-car field. John Zaretzke winner of three races on the 3/8-mile took the lead early and never looked back.
While Zaretzke was smoking the field, Tom Moriarity and Ron Fritzly had a spirited battle for second. Moriarity finally made the pass but there were not enough laps left to catch Zaretzke. Roger Habich a winner this season suffered motor trouble and had to settle for eighteenth.
Joe Constance filling in for an ailing Matt Murphy finished a solid third and visiting Troy Tramell was fourth. Fritzley was fifth ahead of Gaylon Stewart.
