BAKERSFIELD, California -- Bakersfield Speedway’s point leader, Robby Sawyer, will be making his first appearance this year at Chowchilla Speedway. Sawyer will be competing in the Freedom Series, Street Stock Division on Friday, July 2, 2004 Sawyer competed at last years Freedom Series in the Hobby Division and finished second in the three race series.
As a rookie in the Super Street Stocks, Sawyer has 6 wins and a total of 9 top 3 finishes in 12 starts this year. Robby Sawyer has competed at Kings Speedway, Santa Maria, and his local track, Bakersfield Speedway. Sawyer leads two other hard charging rookies in points, Jeremiah VanScoy and Zack Forster. Sawyer is two for two at Kings Speedway, and has a 1st and 2nd at Santa Maria Speedway with a win coming from the June 26th, race and three wins at Bakersfield Speedway.
