UPLAND, California -- ASA Speed Truck point's leader Lee Hatch piloted his No. 91 CMKXtreme.com Ford to his eighth victory out of nine races at Irwindale Speedway Saturday night. Before the main event, Hatch also won the six-lap Trophy Dash to set the tone for the night.
"It's really awesome winning at Irwindale Speedway again," said Hatch. "This is a great track and close to home. I had a lot of friends and family out here tonight watching me, so winning in front of them felt good."
Hatch qualified second and started off-pole. When the green flag dropped he took the lead and led the entire 75-lap main event finishing 1.821 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher Scott Franchimone. With a lot of hard work and a remarkable driving style, Hatch has taken an incredible 52-point lead in the Championship Points battle.
"I want to thank CMKXtreme.com for coming on board as our primary sponsor," said Hatch. "With their assistance we've really been able to step up our program this year. I hope to continue my success for the rest of the 2004 season."
