DAVID STARR LOOKS TO SCORE ANOTHER VICTORY

IRVING, Texas -- Not about to let any grass grow under their feet, David Starr and the Spears Motorsports crew are ready to score another victory at the upcoming Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners 200, Saturday, July 31 at 1:00 P.M. (ET) at Michigan International Speedway.

"I really like racing at Michigan Speedway," says Starr. "It's exciting, it's wide and it's fast. You can run high, low and in the middle and there is lots of drafting. It kind of reminds me of Daytona because of the drafting. Doing well requires the right combination of horsepower and handling. The aerodynamics are definitely important and I think we should be in good shape. We tested extensively last week with GM in Chicago and learned a lot. We tried a bunch of new stuff, plus worked on our aero package and I think, when we apply it all, our No. 75 Spears Chevy will do the trick."

This event will mark Starr's fifth race at Michigan International Speedway. "We actually have competed in every round of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series held at this track," continues Starr. "Our best finish was a 5th in 2002. However, with the motivation and determination everyone on the team has, I think we can better it. We tasted the thrill of winning once this year. That definitely wetted our whistle. We want to do it again."

In his third year with Spears Motorsports and his first as a factory-backed Chevrolet driver, Starr love of racing is evident. "Racing is pretty much my life, says the Texas native. "I love the competition and I definitely love winning. Gateway was totally awesome and I'm still on a high. What could be better than to continue that high for another week and that's what we're aiming for."

Currently ranked 11th in the point's chase, Starr is looking for this round to move him up a couple more rungs on the ladder. "We got off to a somewhat slow start," says Starr who was plagued with a run of bad luck. "Hopefully that's all over. We have thirteen races left this season and we want to fly the Spears banner from the Podium as many times as possible. It's certainly not over yet and you can't foretell what will happen the rest of the season. All we know is that we will be trying our very best at every race.

Qualifying for the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks gets underway at 3:10 P.M. on Friday, July 30 with drivers taking the Green Flag on Saturday, July 31 at 1:00 P.M. (ET).####
