BAKERSFIELD, California -- This Saturday night Mesa Marin Raceway will host a full menu of motorsports, featuring the SRL Wild West Late Model Series, West Coast Pro Trucks, Street Stocks, ChevronTexaco High School Racing Series and the Cal Spas Supermoto Series “North/South Challenge”.
The night’s headlining event will be the 100 lap SRL Wild West Late Model Series “Infamous Inc. 100”. Rick Ruzbarsky of Tracy, CA leads the SRL Wild West Late Model Series point standings heading into Saturday’s event, followed closely by Jeff Anthony, Ken Boyd, Steve Belletto and winner of the June 5th S.R.L. event, Ryan Foster. Numerous NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Series drivers have entered Saturday night’s “Infamous Inc. 100” including; Bakersfield’s Burney Lamar and Kevin Vernon, M.K. Kanke, and Tommy Fry.
The West Coast Pro Truck Series will be making it’s sixth appearance at Mesa Marin in 2004.
The Street Stocks will continue their classic championship battle as Greg Puskarich and defending champion David Hutchins are tied at 554 points apiece after twelve events of the sixteen race series.
The Cal Spas Supermoto Series will take on a new dynamic this Saturday as riders from the rival Southern California Super TT Series will also be on hand to take part in the “North / South Challenge”. Supermoto competition will begin as early as 9am Saturday morning and continue though the evening with the Open Pro main scheduled just before the Street Stock main event.
Mojave High will lead the ChevronTexaco High School Racing Series point standings entering Saturday night’s event.
