Smith was running as high as third place, but after a restart Smith dropped back to sixth before getting to high into the marbles in turn one and hitting the wall. Smith eventually finished 14.
Smith will also be racing in the next race scheduled for the NASCAR Grand National West Division at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 6. Steve Schaefer will then take the wheel back for the September 18 race at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon.![]()
