ROSEBURG, Oregon - Scott Lynch almost appeared surprised to be in victory lane for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Douglas County Speedway on Sunday. The defending champion of the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series inherited the lead when the two front-running cars spun off of turn two just after a lap 120 restart.
Lynch took advantage of the opportunity to cruise to victory, scoring his first win of the year.
Series rookie David Gilliland finished second, 1.675 second behind. Mike Duncan, who led the first 119 laps, recovered from his incident to finish third. Scott Gaylord was fourth, followed by Brett Thompson.
The first portion of the race was run on Saturday night, but inclement weather halted the action on lap 68 and postponed the conclusion of the 200-lap event until Sunday morning.
