DOVER -- Andy Santerre captured his third straight NASCAR Grand National Division Busch North Series championship when he finished fifth in the MBNA America 150 at Dover International Speedway. He became the second driver to win the title in three consecutive seasons.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which also includes the NASCAR West Series.

Dale Quarterly, who is third in the standings, won the race after taking the lead with just 29 laps to go in the 150-lap chase around the one-mile oval. He beat Paul Wolfe to the finish by .889 of a second. Eddie McDonald was third, Mike Stefanik took fourth and Santerre was fifth.

Tim Andrews won the pole with a lap averaging 147.710 mph. Quarterly averaged 97.959 mph for the race.

Santerre has 2,139 points and can add to that total in the final race of the year. Mike Olsen is second with 1,933 and faces a challenge from Quarterly to finish in the second spot. Quarterly has 1,908 points.####
