WOODSTOCK, Georgia Justin Wakefield secured his second straight NASCAR Autozone Elite Division, Southeast Series top-10 championship points finish by equaling his season best finish when the Georgia hot shoe finished 3rd during the NASCAR sanctioned series finale at Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN.

“Music City Motorplex has not been one of our best tracks this season and to be able to go there, lead some laps, and come away with a 3rd place finish is a huge boost for this team,” commented Justin. “Over the past three races, we have placed outside the top-5 once and that kind of performance shows the potential of our race team and which direction the team is gearing towards. This is excellent momentum going into Irwindale.”

Justin’s 8th place series points finish earned Wakefield an invitation to NASCAR’s All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, CA in November. This is Justin’s second appearance in NASCAR’s touring division all star event.

“We are definitely looking forward to the opportunity to return to Irwindale for the Toyota All-Star Showdown,” says Justin. “Last season was basically a learning experience for us at Irwindale, so this year, we are looking for better results.”

Justin rounded out the 2004 season with 3 top-5 and 5 top-10 finishes in 12 events.

“We are also excited to give our team supporters, Gang Run Direct and Exide Batteries excellent exposure the last leg of the season and at Irwindale. We are already looking at next season and making preparations for another run at the Southeast Series championship and test the waters in some other series,” concluded Justin.
