LAS VEGAS, Nevada Off to Erie, Colorado and the running of the NAPA 150, Round 11 of the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series at Colorado National Speedway, Saturday, October 9th, Scott Lynch has his sights set of taking his first career hat trick.
"It would really be awesome to take the win this weekend," says the Burley, Idaho native. "We've put our No.08 Yerf-Dog/Orleans Dodge in Victory Lane the last two times out and now we want to do it again. This whole team is incredibly motivated and we know we have the car to do it. Hopefully the age old adage 'good things come in threes' will hold true and we will be out in front when the Checkered falls."
Returning to Colorado National Speedway for the first time since 2001, this race will mark the first time that Lynch has competed at this track in the West Series. "I ran there once in the Southwest Tour," says Lynch. "The one thing I remember was that it was bumpy. However, I understand that the whole track has been repaved and it is totally different. I'm definitely excited and from everything I've heard, the racing should be good."
Currently sitting in 6th place in the overall point standings, Lynch is just 141 points out of first and 47 points out of third. With three races left, moving up into the top three is definitely within the realm of possibility.
"Our team motivation is at an all time high," says Lynch. "Everyone is definitely working in perfect unison and that is what it takes to win. We have a great team, a great Yerf-Dog/Orleans Dodge and a great Kroyer Racing engine. In short, we are good to go."
Qualifying for the 150 Lap/56.25 mile NAPA 150 takes place on October 9 at 4 PM and racing action gets underway at 7 PM. TV coverage will air on SPEED TV on December 11 at Noon (ET).
