ASA SPEED TRUCK SERIES

SAN BERNARDINO, California -- Brandon Arciero and the #17 Gibson Performance Exhaust speedtruck make hard charge at Orange Show Speedway for a top 10 finish. The #17 speedtruck was really tight through out practice and qualifying and was the result for an unsatisfactory qualifying result. The #17 speedtruck driven by Brandon Arciero qualified 20th out of 29 trucks. The speedway took 16 of the top qualifying times and transferred them straight to the main event with the rest battling it out in a B main where they took 6 trucks and transferred them to main event. Brandon started outside second row and when the green flag dropped the #17 speedtruck got caught up in a spin and got sent to rear of field. Brandon battled back to finish 6th which gave Brandon and the #17 Gibson Performance Exhaust speedtruck the last transfer spot for the main event. When the green flag dropped for the main event Brandon starting 22 patiently worked his way up avoiding accidents and worked his way all the way to 9th by lap 91. “ We had a good truck for the main, we had a toe in issue in the front earlier in the day and once we fixed it the truck was fast and ran good in the main”, “I wish we could have found that problem before qualifying but that is racing and we over came it” said Brandon. Kevin Fedderson, the crew chief for the #17 truck had put a great setup under the truck and the #17 truck ran consistent all weekend even with chasing our toe in problem. Brandon Arciero won the Hard Charger award for passing 13 trucks and finishing in 9th position for the “HILLVIEW ACRES CHILDREN’S HOME 100” speedtruck race, the first race of a 14 race season. This is a great season start for the #17 Gibson Performance Exhaust/ Arciero Motorsports Dodge speedtruck.
