REGIER TAKES MADERA SPEEDWAY’S FINAL HARVESTMADERA SPEEDWAY

![]() ASA/WSSRL driver Troy Regier races on the Madera Speedway track, it is almost always a non-nail biting finish. Regier was presented with two first-place trophies as he won both 50-lap races Saturday in the 35th annual “Harvest Classic” at Madera Speedway. The Speedway seats were full and the horsepower was high as the motorsports excitement continued. Though Regier is the best in his class, he never expects automatic victories. “You never know if you’re going win,” Regier said. “Anything can happen, the car could break down.” In both races, Regier had to come from behind to win. In the second race, he had to pass Rick Veenstra, who led for the first 10 laps. Once Regier passed Veenstra, he stayed ahead until the finish line. Veenstra got caught in congestion from other cars, which allowed Regier to pass. “I was hoping for some lapped traffic and it worked out for me,” Regier said. Another driver to win two races on the same night was Modified Stock Toyota driver, Tanner Swanson. Swanson, who leads the division, picked up extra points to add to his total. “Hopefully, we opened up the points lead,” Swanson said. Swanson won both 25-lap races. In the first race he beat out Jeff Doran. In the second race, Bridger finished behind Swanson. “Bridger and Doran raced me clean,” Swanson said. “He did a hell of a job getting to the outside,” Bridger said. In the 360 Supermodified race, Kenny White won his first race of the season. White had a wide lead before Dallas Glenn’s car broke down, which caused a caution. After the caution, White continued to hold his lead, and with 10 laps left was on the verge of winning. Another stop to the race closed White¹s lead but with five laps to go, he could smell victory. White won the 30-lap race, while Donnie Large Jr. came in second. “He ran a great race tonight,” Large said. “Last time he followed me and this time I had to follow him.” “I couldn’t have asked for a better car tonight, it was awesome,” White said. Mike Regalmen, of the Lucas Motorsports Modifieds, won the 30-lap race. He led from the first lap on. A spinout by Chris Mays that caused a restart on lap 22, didn’t deter Regalmen from winning the race. “I love it here, I haven¹t had that much fun in awhile,” Regalmen said.
