Source: Megan Whiteside
Myers enters the race with a successful track record, where he qualified fifth and finished fourth last October, and is hoping to continue this previous top-five performance on the raceway's .375-mile D-shaped paved oval.
"I ran really well last year at Thunder Hill and I am excited to get back there this weekend," said Myers.
Myers thoughts on his return to the AutoZone West Series: "I enjoyed racing in the Busch East Series the past couple of months because it gave me the opportunity to race against some talented East Coast drivers. But it's great to be back racing in the [AutoZone] West Series and I am hoping to finish the remainder of the season with some top finishes."
With a total of two wins a piece in the AutoZone West Series, Myers and Mike David lead the series with the most victories.
The Allstate Texas Thunder 200 NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series race will air live on HDNet, Saturday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. PST.
Next on Myers' schedule is the AutoZone West Series 200 on Oct. 15 at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif. See Also .: News Index | E-mail to a Friend Article posted by RacingWest.com staff on 09/26/2006. http://www.racingwest.com
