MYERS JOINS ALL-STAR LINE-UP AT IRWINDALE

Irwindale Speedway has been good to Andrew Myers. It is not only one of his favorite tracks, but every time he sets the wheels of his Toyota of Escondido/Red Line Synthetic Oil Chevrolet on its pavement, Myers has done extremely well. With his prior experience and the speedway on his side, Myers will make his second appearance and join the top-15 drivers from the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series and Busch East Series in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown Oct. 20-21.

Myers' successful track record at Irwindale includes three wins, one from earlier this season and the other two from his days in the NASCAR Auto Club Late Model Series. Myers also posted a seventh place finish there in 2005.

"I always feel comfortable racing at Irwindale," said Myers. "The fans are great and I am really looking forward to the All-Star Showdown. It's an exciting way to end the season and it gives you the chance of racing against the elite drivers in both the West and East Series."

Myers will be piloting the No. 4 Toyota of Escondido/Red Line Synthetic Oil Chevrolet for the All-Star Showdown, since Sean Caisse from the East Series will be driving the No. 44 car.

"We love racing at Irwindale," said Jamie Aube. "This will be our second visit in the All-Star Showdown and I believe we are well-prepared. Given the experience we already have on this track, we are looking to help Andrew finish with a strong performance."

"We've had some good runs here in the past," said Phil Bonifield, team manager. "Our team is confident about this weekend and we want to end on a high note and get Andrew some good exposure."

The fourth annual NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown will broadcast live on SPEED Oct. 20-21, with qualifying events airing Friday at 9:35 p.m. PST and the race beginning at 9:15 p.m. PST Saturday.####
