THE #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS TEAM RACING TO WIN A SECOND NASCAR TOYOTA ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

ANTELOPE, California -- The #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS/NAPA Belts & Hose team won the inaugural NASCAR Toyota All-Star Championship title back in 2003 and look to be the only team repeat the win. For the fourth consecutive year, the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown returns to Irwindale Speedway where the #16 team from Bill McAnally Racing has won seven out of the last ten races at the track.

Piloting the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS/NAPA Belts & Hose Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS will be the NGND West Series 2006 Sunoco Rookie of the Year, Peyton Sellers.

For the event, BMR is pleased to welcome AAA as an associate sponsor and race partner on the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS/NAPA Belts & Hose Chevrolet.

“Earlier this season at Evergreen Speedway NAPA and AAA teamed up as title event sponsors,” said team owner, Bill McAnally. “They gave the team great support with over 1000 people in NAPA/AAA Hospitality. Because of this, BMR will have the AAA logo on the hood of the #16 NAPA AUTO Parts Chevrolet as well as present on both the #20 NAPA Filters Chevrolet driven by Brian Ickler and the #18 Hardin Buick-Pontiac-GMC/DSN-TV Chevrolet driven by Eric Hardin. We’re very excited to have all three teams in the prestigious race and featuring the AAA logo; they are great fans and we look forward to working with them again.”

“NAPA AUTO PARTS has had an association with AAA for many years,” said Dan Askey, Western Group Vice President. “Both companies have enjoyed being a part of motorsports with involvement in NASCAR racing and are looking forward to being a part of Bill McAnally Racing’s success on the track of Irwindale Speedway for this event.”

The NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown will be on Saturday, October 21st with the qualifying races being held on Friday, October 20th and will be televised live on SPEED Channel and broadcast live on XM Satellite Radio channel 144.
