BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS PRACTICE FREE FOR FANS!PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY
Date: 10/24/2006
The track will allow teams to come in and park their rigs for the weekend on Tuesday morning. “When we did this last year, rigs were lined up for nearly a mile before we opened the gate. It was an incredible sight for any race fan!” smiled Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian from behind his desk. “We figured that with the rigs in, the guys may want to practice. We checked and a lot of them said they wanted to get in some laps. Especially the out of town guys.” The 11th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals will feature three full nights of racing for the USAC National and USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series’. Saturday’s A main event will pay $30,000.00 to the winner. The pit area will be open to fans everyday (Thursday through Saturday) until approximately 1:00 PM. Fans will be able to buy t-shirts from the teams, meet drivers and get an up close look at teams working on their cars. The Oval Nationals will encompass six days in 2006. In addition to Tuesday night’s practice, fans will have five other days full of racing and fun events. November 1st will feature the 1st Annual Oval Nationals Golf Tournament in the daytime followed by the Golf Tournament Banquet that night. The first night of the racing will be Thursday, November 2nd. Friday November 3rd will the second night of preliminary action and practice for the quarter-midget races (on the pavement out front) that will be open to all quarter-midget drivers from around the nation.
