SWEETS, SONGS AND SPEED AT MADERA

With the division championships awarded, driver’s have nothing to lose and will race their hearts to the checkered. This race will feature some of the greatest pavement racers in the Central Valley, while fans will enjoy SWEETS, SONGS and SPEED throughout the night.

Divisions set to compete will include the always entertains Hornets, Toyota Sedans, Modified Super Toyotas and the Modifieds in a “Wicked Modified” 30 lap feature. The Selsor Street Stocks will be featured in the annual “Spooky 75” followed by the Late Model feature, the “Halloween 100”.

Speedway fans will enjoy great racing, but fans are encouraged to take to the spirit of Halloween by taking part in a costume contest or a “Trick or Treat” with the race car driver set to begin at 5:15 PM. When the racing stops, a music concert will begin featuring local rock band, “Kinship”.

With the future of Madera’s speedway undecided since the fair board’s decision to pursue a development project that would include a realignment of the property. Fans of racing, music and history won’t want to miss this Saturday’s “Halloween Smash”. Let the ghosts and ghouls out and enjoy the motorsports excitement of Madera Speedway!

Saturday’s action begins with Qualifying when the Grandstands Opening at 4 PM, Costume Contest and Trick or Treat at 5:15 PM followed by the wave of the green flag at 6 PM.

Madera Speedway’s “A Night of Champions” Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th. Tickets are currently on sale for $35 and may be purchased till Monday, October 30th. No tickets will be available at the door with space being limited.
