LAST RACE OF THE YEAR FOR SHASTA RACEWAY PARK

ANDERSON California -- It was a nice day at Shasta Raceway Park, with just enough sun, it was a perfect day for racing. With the Bombers, Mini Stocks, Bonus Bombers, and Legends racing, it was a very exciting night. Cody Braund, Randy Riggins, Andy Norton, and Richard Bray were the top four finishers in the Schmitt Equipment Bombers B-Main. Those four drivers got to move on to the A-Main. On lap 7 Kyle Borden pulled into the pits. And on lap 12 Terri Mathis spun out in turn 4, causing a yellow flag. On the restart the new leader was Joe Brattoli, with Eric Johnson following behind. On lap 18 Tim McLeod spun out and caused a caution. Andy Norton spun out on the restart, but he kept his car in motion, so there was no caution. Richard Bray and Daniel Tirri made contact on lap 32, which caused a caution. And the winner was Joe Brattoli.

On the start of the Mini Stocks, there was a wreck in turn one that involved Rich Schramm and Paul Sabourin. On lap 1 Robert Pearsall and Rich Schramm made contact and brought out another caution. On lap 3 Schramm spun out into the dirt, but kept on moving. On lap 5 the Bill Lahue and the Robert Pearsall got hooked to each other, and both went into the wall. Jason Romero and Jason Shaha were battling each other for the lead for a long time, until Jason Romero jumped ahead and took the first position. The rest of the race ran smoothly except for some small spin outs. And the winner was Jason Romero.

In the Bonus Bombers, the whole race went smoothly until lap 26, when Dave Lewellan spun out and caused the first caution of the race. On the restart, David Braund had something wrong with his car, and was going slow, and Brian Dalton didn’t notice him there, and rear ended him. The rest of the race ran smoothly with no wrecks or even bumps. The winner was Eric Gannon.

Into the Legend A-Main, on lap 13 David Allen spun out causing a caution. On lap 32, Jason Anderline got into the wall and caused a caution, during the caution Derek Copeland went to the pits, and managed to come back out before the race started up again. Derek Copeland and Kenny Crome made contact and caused a caution because Copeland caught onto Crome’s car and went over the left front fender. On lap 38, a red flag was put out, because Terri Madjeski, Todd Thompson, Rowan Carey, Buddy Cox, Jason Schuppert, and Jeremy Woods all got in a wreck and took Carey and Jason Schuppert out of the race. On lap 40 the Joel Courage had car trouble and had to pull into the middle of the track. And on lap 44, Buddy Cox and Kenny Crome made contact and brought out the second red flag of the race. On lap 65 Alex Podtetenieff spun out and caused a caution. Zachery Kavert pulled into the pits during that caution. A big Congratulations to Micah Parmer, who lead all laps of the race and won.
