LESTER PRARIE, MN -- For the fourth consecutive year, Tim Sauter and Lester Building Systems LLC are together, for all 25 races in the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Lester Buildings will be the primary sponsor of Green Light Racing’s #07 Chevy Silverado and Sauter will be a teammate to sophomore Chad McCumbee, who will pilot the #08 Silverado with support from The GPS Store/Garmin.

Tom Borgman, Lester Building’s Marketing Manager is confident that the move to the CTS will bring dividends the company needs. “After a taste of the Busch Series, we spent a lot of time on this decision. While every decision has its own set of nuances, we just felt that it was better to compete full time in the Craftsman Truck Series, with a team that has been competitive - and will continue to become more so - than settle for a partial schedule in the Busch Series.” Vice President Larry Lembrich added, “After careful consideration, we feel that the CTS provides a more level playing field and will allow Lester Buildings even greater exposure to our potential customers.”

GLR co-owner Bobby Dotter is excited to fill his team’s roster for 2007. “Tim Sauter is a proven veteran and his experience will help both of our teams be more competitive. In our first meetings with Tim and Chad the two seemed to really hit it off. I’m looking forward to working together with them at the track.” Dotter continued, “Lester Buildings is one of the most dedicated sponsors in all of NASCAR, Gene (co-owner Gene Christensen) and I are proud to have them onboard. Perhaps most importantly for us is that having two great sponsors aligned for the full season will allow our teams to be better prepared than we have in the past. We’ve already added some talented people to our staff and made commitments to new equipment that will help us continue to improve our program.”

Sauter, a Necedah, Wisconsin native, is the son of former NASCAR Cup driver Jim Sauter and brother of NASCAR drivers Johnny and Jay Sauter. With 116 career NASCAR starts, Sauter enjoyed his best season in 2002 finishing 13th in the Busch Series with seven top-10 finishes. “I believe in the program that Bobby Dotter and Gene Christensen are building,” Sauter said. “The new Chevy Silverado body combined with Carl Wegner horsepower should be a strong combination. Being part of a two-truck team and the ability to share resources is something I am looking forward to. This team has the potential to be competitive every week and I’m looking forward to represent Lester Buildings again in 2007.”

In 2004, Lester Buildings supported Sauter as he finished sixth in points in the now defunct ASA Series. Together they made the jump to the Busch Series in 2005 with Sauter competing in 12 races under the Lester banner, the best finish being a 12th at Talladega. In 2006 Sauter finished 27th in Busch Series driver points despite only running 28 of the 35 events.

Commenting on the company’s decision to continue its sponsorship, Borgman said, “The key to our involvement in motorsports is its ability to tap into a large cross-section of active lifestyle consumers who exhibit an intense loyalty to sponsor products unlike any other activity on earth. On a relative scale, racing fans tend toward being gearheads who own boats, RVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, what have you. And at some point they all yearn for improved storage and workspace that a Lester building can provide. We feel our commitment to Tim confirms the integrity of our company and our deep faith in the power of motorsports marketing.”

Borgman also confirmed that Lester Buildings is planning to offer a national building sweepstakes in which one lucky race fan will win a 1,200 sq. ft. Lester hobby/storage building, with a retail value of about $30,000 in a season-end drawing. An exclusive offer of up to a $1,000 cash back rebate for race fans will also continue. Details of both programs will be released before the season begins at Daytona.

With manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Illinois and Virginia, Lester Buildings is one of the largest manufacturers of engineered post-frame structures in the United States. The company provides building solutions for a broad range of needs – from simple farm and ranch buildings, hobby shops and equestrian buildings to many types of commercial structures. Over 140,000 Lester buildings have been erected throughout the U.S. from the eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains.####
