CANYON RACEWAY HOSTING BARNETT MODIFIED RACING STARTING THIS WEEKEND

Canyon Raceway will host the first of 4 weeks of Barnett Modified racing this Saturday January 27th with gates opening at 10:00am and racing starting at 1:00pm.

Come on out and meet the new track owners, see the improvements made already and be part of some great racing. The 4 Barnett modified races at Canyon Raceway are part of the "Barnett Modified Winter Challenge" that includes the 5 races already run at Central Arizona Raceway creating this mini winter series. As of today there is a $3000 point fund to be split among the top ten modified drivers after the nine combined races. The top ten are guaranteed $250 each with the remainder of the point fund to be awarded to the top five. So far Canyon Raceway, Central AZ Raceway, Barnett Harley Davidson, Five Star Engine Exchange, Auto Pro Collision and Flexi Flyer Motorsports have each committed $500 for this series. We are actively seeking more sponsors to have this point fund grow with the added monies if acquired awarded to the top five in points.

Last weekend the opening races at Canyon Raceway were rained out so the following schedule will be followed this weekend:

Saturday January 27th: $1000 to win Barnett Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Super Stocks, Mod Midgets.
SUPER STOCKS $1000 TO WIN THIS SATURDAY 1/27/07!!!

Sunday January 28th ****RESCHEDULED RACE****
Pure Stocks, Bombers, Mod Midgets, Sport Mods, Mini Stocks
Sunday will be used as a rain date for Saturday January 27th if rained out.
