Dale Jr.'s pursuers chase the red #8 Chevy across a barren desert landscape, flinging fire bombs and wielding chainsaws, in pursuit of the last Budweiser on Earth. Just when he seems surrounded, Dale Jr. emerges from the Budweiser #8 car to confront his pursuers, exuding the same Southern moxie that has made him one of the most liked athletes in America. The 60-second ad, filmed near Lancaster, Calif. in mid-November, was directed by DDB Worldwide, Chicago.

Hunt has made a nice second job out of appearing in a variety of media settings. Prior to this ad Hunt worked on the set of the Will Farrell comedy Talladega Nights – the Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Even with the screen time, Hunt is still best known for his accomplishments behind the wheel of a sprint car or midget.

With his 2006 USAC championship, the Lincoln, CA based driver owns five USAC titles. Hunt will begin his present title defense April 14th at Madera Speedway in Madera, CA. As the new Budweiser commercial hit the air on Sunday Hunt hosted the 5th annual Race for a Reason karting challenge at RPM Indoor Kart Racing in Sacramento, CA. The event raised $23,000 for the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
