FINLAY MOTORSPORTS TO UNVEIL NEW COLORS IN MEXICO CITY

MOORESVILLE, NC -- The No.19 Finlay Motorsports Daytona Prototype machine driven by Rob Finlay and Michael Valiante will be sporting a bold new paint scheme at next weekend’s Grand American Rolex Series event in Mexico City. With the team’s partners in place for the 2007 season what better place to unveil their new colors. Z-Line Designs, a leading import manufacturer of ready to assemble Home Office, Home Entertainment and Home Decor Furniture will return as co-primary sponsor and will be joined by Mission Residential, a multifamily real estate operating company offering residents a high quality lifestyle at an affordable price. The Make-A-Wish Foundation will also continue its relationship with the team, entertaining families at almost every venue this season.

“The team has worked hard since Daytona to be able to present our car to the race fans with a dynamic new paint scheme that really highlights our partners, Z-Line Designs and Mission Residential,” stated Steve Cameron. “We’ve been successful in the past in Mexico and would like nothing more than to put the car back into victory circle.”

The Mexico City event has played host to several firsts for the Mooresville, NC – based team. Finlay Motorsports picked up their first victory in Mexico City in 2005, with Memo Gidley and Michael McDowell behind the wheel and Rob Finlay and Michael Valiante drove their first Daytona Prototype event together on the 2.5-mile road course that same year.

“I am really looking forward to heading back to Mexico,” said Michael Valiante. “We seem to always have a great race car at this race and our recent pace should put us somewhere up front. If we’ve done our homework, we will have a good shot at the podium.”

The team walked away with a top-10 finish at the season opener in Daytona International Speedway last month and hopes to continue the success in Mexico.

“We had a pretty good showing at Daytona,” said Rob Finlay. “The car was quick during the practice sessions and the guys did a great job during the pit stops. We just hope to carry that momentum over to the Mexico and beyond.” Practice for the Mexico City event is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 1, followed by qualifying on Friday morning. The race will be telecast on the Speed Channel at 4:00 p.m. ET March 3, be sure to check your local listings.####
